Scratch's Monologue II

Let me tell you something

We were running on a plain which turned

into a mountain

That's how we could see anything and nothing

yet

I found myself with yourself and we both wished

to be dead while still we went

That's when you said i want to be yourself for a

change

[don't take this personally but I think it's strange]

i don't wannabe scratch no more, I replied and then changed

to some other guy running on some other plain which turned

into a mountain with some other you who wasn't even there

You [the natural you i mean] just stood and stared, becoming my

old self again, lizzard-like serpent looking scratch feeling

eventually

you-me turned back only to be trapped inside a commercial

railway track

you-me broke your arm and then decomposed under the

sun

While

i-me is still running with the new-you on a plain which is

constantly turning into a mountain

despite the fact that it's only a sea
